I am being unreasonable my partner watches asmr videos supposed to help with anxiety sleep etc. But can't help notice that all the people's channels that he's subscribed to are the opposite to me there all slim and beautiful flat stomach no stretchmarks etx Whereas im 16 stone and not beautiful.
Does anyone think maybe my partner doesn't find me attractive??

I've got stretchmarks and a mum tum after 3 kids these women have flat stomach zero stretchmarks and really beautiful in looks department whereas I don't even have the looks to fall back on.

Let's be honest, we like to watch beautiful people. Those more attractive are going to have bigger followings. It's got nothing to do with his and your relationship. I love the film Lucy, part of that, even as a heterosexual woman is how attractive Scarlett Johansson is. I could watch Tom Hardly read the alphabet, he's the opposite of the man who I've chosen to spend my life with.

I don't think it's anything to do with how he sees you - as PP said its just a tedious thing that the 'prettiest' ASMR women are likely to have a big following. I listen to some of them myself because they're good at it!

A lot of the channels’ selling point is the parasocial relationship with an attractive young woman who licks your ear virtually. You’re not wrong not to like it. I would make sure he isn’t paying them patreon money or ordering custom vids.

I love asmr but it’s all weirdos messing with high end mics and tapping on boxes for me. The overtly sexual ones are offputting.

I think there are 2 issues here - whether his behaviour crosses the line of what’s appropriate in your relationship, and you comparing yourself to other women. It sounds like your self esteem isn’t great and you don’t look kindly on your body. But it created 3 kids, that’s a big deal, and worthy of respect.

I know that but makes me ask why he's settled for far less in that case?? I'm the complete opposite I've got all the flaws 3 kids later feel quiet insecure really wondering what he's thinking about me when he sees those model like women? Is he wishing I'd starve myself to be like them??

I don't know much about it to be honest seen some things like that on there it's the fact they really beautiful half dressed that bothers I'm not even close i wouldn't say i was beautiful at all.

I wouldn't worry about it. It doesn't mean he doesn't find you attractive.

I'm subscribed to a few ASMR people on Youtube, all of them are attractive woman (although fully clothed). I'm struggling to think of one I wouldn't think of as being at least pretty.

I actually think he might not be to blame here - I like ASMR and I have often wondered why the artists (as they like to be called) need to be scantily dressed, young, heavily made up etc. The audience is mostly female I understand, and the ASMR videos I watch certainly say nothing about my preferences, except in relation to voices, sounds etc.

I doubt it I'm 99 sure it wouldn't do anyhing for him. I think a beautiful woman is what he really wants.

It stands to reason that the more attractive a YouTuber is, the more their videos will be watched, and the more likely their channel will be recommended to you by the You Tube algorithm.
I watch ASMR videos and couldn't care less about what the artist looks like. But all of the people I watch do happen to be attractive anyway.

...but this isn't about what your partner watches on You Tube. It's about your low self esteem.
