I am really struggling, the last 3 weeks I have been on citalopram and before that sertraline for 3 months but I don’t feel like me, I can’t stay still, my heart is always racing and skipping beats. My stomach hasn’t been the same in months, I feel really off balance and head pressure and short of breath and weak every single day. I have done cbt for the last 2 months and again have seen no improvement. I’m even crying writing this as I honestly feel like I’m dying.

Sorry to hear your going through this. I can massively relate as i suffer from anxiety myself, especially the physical symptoms. I had a headache for about two years which thankfully is gone now but i still have chronic tension in the body that causes regular head pressure and dizziness. When i get an anxiety attack i get palpitations, restlessness, insomnia, disassociation and tbh and endless list of horrible symptoms and these high anxiety loops can drag on for weeks. I dont think i have come out of an anxious state in 5 years since its started, just some moments are alot more manageable.
ive recently started on a healing journey - i dont take any medication due to fear (part of my anxiety)- and I came across the video below on resetting your vagus nerve. It has really helped me to relax and hopefully will help you too. If it does I recommend doing some research on vagul stimulation and how to incorporate it into every day life. Its not an overnight fix, I definitely still struggle but am finding it very helpful. I am currently on week 5 of my “new healing journey”. Ive also been doing yoga and pilates which I have found helpful. Hope this helps.
