Hi just started taking mitrazapine however im a bit worried about the side effects, namely drowseyness/increased tiredness and weight gain. I have a toddler and have tried another one before (cant remember the name of it) but i just remember feeling tired all the time so had to stop it i found myself day sleeping alot. I want help with depression but i also want to be able to function. Which have you found works well for you and are there any side effects? I understand every person and every experience is different just looking to see if theres common ground anywhere

Stick at it for now, they use fluoxetine for anxiety so hopefully it will help.

Same as po, nausea lack of appetite and increased anxiety but just holding out was worth it, and dose adjustments for me are far far quicker to respond (like 1_2weeks) than initiation.

Hi,
I started taking antidepressants for the first time in 2006. I was put on paxil. Ended up gaining a bunch of weight.
Eventually shifted to prozac and reduced 15kgs which i had put on and i continue to take them even today.
