Little things get to me and feel overwhelmed

That's it really.
I feel overwhelmed. I am overthinking. Don't know what hair cut to get. Need to lose weight. The house is unclean. I don't spend enough time with the kids. Can we afford it. I am getting old.
All these things are going through my head. Currently sat at work and can't concentrate. None of them are big things but I am making them into big things and don't know why.
My mind feels like it is about to burst and it's all trivial.
I have days where I don't give a shit and other days like today where everything is an issue.

What do you do in these situations? Need some. Good old Mumsnet tips!

If you can, go for a walk to clear your head. That helps me. I get like this a lot.

Do a brain dump - write a list and get them all out of your head. Prioritise any actions you can take (eg the house, could spend 15 mins every day cleaning). I find it even better if you can write the list somewhere away from home, I used to go to a cafe and get a coffee and cake.

Don’t think about everything. Compartmentalise the stuff you need to do.
I’m screwed if I think about it all.. I say it at home and work. I can do one thing at a time

Concentrate on doing one or two things done, don’t let the pressure build and bear yourself up.

Sorry pressed to early….definitely get out in the fresh air. It clears the mind.
