Hi

Does anyone have any experiences of taking fluoxetine.. it’s mainly for OCD ( instrusive thoughts) and health anxiety but now the thoughts and the HA are causing depression

I’ve never been on ADs before and I’m scared. I have taken my first one today

I have insomnia, alongside the depression and anxiety, @Loo234. I have found that audio books really help me fall asleep - instead of the intrusive thoughts going round and round in my head, keeping me awake, I am listening to the book.

I found that books about history - specifically from the Plantagenets to the Tudors - preferably read by a man (Dan Jones, the historian, is the most soporific author I listen to) - sends me to sleep.

I honestly feeling 10 x worse on day 3 now have diorreah (tmi) a lot more intrusive thoughts major anxiety and I’m waking up in the night and really early in the mornings. I have zero appetite and I have barely eaten a thing in 2 days. I don’t know if I can carry on taking these

Don’t force yourself through it.. if it’s no good there are lots more options !! Don’t worry.. give GP a call and explain xxx

I know it's so hard and you don't need to force yourself as pp said, there are so many options! I take mine for intrusive thoughts and anxiety and mine got much worse before they got better and a lot of people find this (not just me making it up, my friend is a professional!!).

I personally had to pair my tablets with therapy. It's different for everybody but you will find your way to managing this!💐

I didn’t take one today and already felt less spaced out I just have been feeling so much worse and I couldn’t do it.
I know tablets really help a lot of ppl but I just don’t know if they are for me. But then again don’t know if I can do this with just CBT alone.

@bethabean how long was it before you got
Better ?
