Has anyone taken Vyvanse for ADHD?

I've recently been diagnosed with ADHD and the doctor has recommended Vyvanse. It took me ages to actually decide to get/try for a ADHD diagnosis, but when I realised I could be treated for it and potentially make a positive impact on my slowly imploding life I decided to make the appointment.

Now I have been diagnosed I'm really scared how the treatment could affect me. There's been quite a long wait from my diagnosis to my treatment (and I'm still not due to start for about 4 weeks) and in that time I've been researching and making myself worry.

Would anyone be willing to share their experiences on it? Hopefully positive!

Hi there i am on 40mg of elvanse a day. This is the brand name. I found the benefits out weighed the negs. My appetite literally dissapeared. But my weight sadly didn't go down. I have found that my chatty ness didn't go away which is a shame as it sometimes pisses people off

Has anyone taken vyvanse/elvanse after methylphenidate and found it better ? I'm seeing no difference at all on 30mg/day

I was diagnosed just over a week ago.
I have been taking 30mg Elvanse

I was really looking forward to feeling the “buzz” but I think I need a higher dose. My appetite has disappeared and I have managed to do a few bits and pieces that I would have found to be overwhelming (like doing the laundry/paying a bill on line etc) but apart from that and having a massive meltdown when making a salad late at night I really haven’t found anything has changed dramatically.
