Diarrhoea as a side effect of sertraline?

Hi all

Has anyone had diarrhoea as a side effect of sertraline? I'm really struggling with diarrhoea since I started it to the point I'm scared to go out in case I need to go and am not near a loo. It comes on suddenly and I HAVE to go. Andy advice or experiences?

My DS had same when he started Sertraline, but it settled down after about 10 days, and he's now fine. Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you it's just so horrible because I feel absolutely fine and then the next minute stuck to the loo and you just don't know when it's coming!

Yer I have it. It has settled mostly now. Am 6 weeks in but still happens occasionally x

@Dollsandfoo when did it start to settle down? And how occasionally does it happen now? Sorry for all the questions and thanks for answering x

Week 4 it definitely started getting better now I find its mostly first thing in the morning. I normally wake up and have to run the loo but rest if the days it Seems OK now xxx
