Physical health making mental health worse?

I've been doing so well with my mental health recently but the last 2 days I've come done with a sore throat and found my mental health has taken a nose dive.
I've just been to the shop and on the way home had intrusive thoughts and starred having a panic attack.

Do you find if you're ill it can make your mental health worse?
I'm now panicking that I'm going to go back to my dark place.

I’ve been similar over last 2 days. Feeling ill, and I’ve gone from being positive to despairing. I don’t know if I’m feeling ill because of the despairing, because despairing had preceded the feeling ill, or vice versa. But of course, panicking that this is it, nosedive. I keep trying to remember that it’s ok to have bad days, they happen to everyone, and a few bad days does not a complete and utter disaster make. I’m also trying to distract myself by doing stuff...limited to watching shite at the moment but it passes the “feeling shit” time. Hope you start to feel better soon xx

Yes, absolutely!
This week I’ve had a stinking cold and my mood has hit the floor completely.
Also when I get over tired too
