So, if SSRIs screw-up your sex life, what happens when you stop taking them?

Libido starts to come back after about 6 weeks ime. Not everyone loses it though.

Thank you. (I wasn't sure if I'd get any responses.) I'm desperately seeking reassurance that there won't be any permanent damage done! I've been trying to manage without ADs for nearly a year now but just keep 'going under' iykwim.

Oh definitely no permanent damage: any lost libido will return (tho the depression itself might interfere with libido). And some SSRI's don't interfere with sex drive at all. Sertraline and citalopram haven't for me, and yet Seroxat did.

depression itself really affected my libido - the medication did not seem to make it worse, if anything slightly better. No residual problems now hope you find this reassuring!
