Sertraline - how long before you feel benefits

Hi all,
I'm commencing week 3 on 50mg Sertraline for depression. I'm waiting for the pink cloud moment to appear. Is this a thing? Will a curtain lift?
First couple of days side effects were panic attacks, feeling sick, upset stomach, anxiety. But these have mainly settled. I think I do feel a little calmer, I haven't cried in 2 weeks (which is a lot for me) and I haven't blown things out of proportion like I would have before.
Does anyone have any recollection or experience of how long it took to feel "normal"?
Thank you

Yes I would say it takes at least two weeks before it starts to have an impact. I no longer have any idea how long it took with me but I would say between now and another four weeks from now (ie six weeks in) you will feel the full effects. But you're only right at the start of when you could expect it to really kick in. Hang in there.

In my experience, never. I think I got up to the highest dose. GP was reluctant to prescribe Paroxetine, which I'd been on prior to pregnancy. So after sertraline, I was prescribed mirtazepine. No relief of anxiety & depression with that either but with the added disadvantage of feeling like a zombie.
Finally I was prescribed paroxetine 20mg, 2 weeks later-the black cloud lifted and I felt 'myself'.
