Can different brand of Sertraline cause itching?

I'm on month two of 50mg Sertraline. I started a new box three days ago and note that it's made by a different company. Since last night I've had itchy burning hands going up to my arms neck and back.

Could I be allergic to this new brand?

Possibly, my mum takes sotalol for her heart and she has it on her notes that she must not be given the generic brands as they give her an allergic reaction. Her GP thinks it may be the colouring in them. Although, I’m on Sertraline and the tablets aren’t coloured. I’d check with your GP.

I use meds which are made by two manufacturers and get a mild reaction to one brand but not the other. The capsules are a slightly different colour so it may be that.
