YorkieGirl, you are doing really well to have that willpower . You should treat yourself to an item of clothing this month. Could it be something that will fit no matter what your size maybe?? A nice scarf? Shoes? A cool belt. Piece of jewellery? Set a limit on how much to spend and stick to it... coz I always do that - not!

hi yorkie, sorry you're feeling down but well done on the weight loss Can you not treat yourself to one thing like lipstickmum suggested. xxx

October is right - focus on what you have lost, not what you still have to lose. Picture yourself in June and imagine if you had woken up one morning and found you had lost 25.5 lbs. You would have been euphoric! And you've done that now. Keep that in your head when you feel despondant.

Hey - I didn't see this earlier: sorry you're feeling down. I know exactly what you mean about clothes. I spent ages in baggy trousers with belts, because I didn't want to/couldn't afford to buy an 'inbetween size'. Hope Helsi has some stuff to give you a boost.

You are doing really well with the weight loss; keep going, keep motivated. My dh set off with WW in April, at 5st.+ above his 'healthy BMI', but he never believed he would get that far. He is 2.5 lb off that target now, and hopes to get his WW Gold Membership a week on Tuesday! He's lighter than he's been for about 15 years! Hope that gives you some inspiration. You can do it.

I'm really pleased helsi is coming to the meal. Have you heard from Easy?

I had this today too actually - I'm trying to be in a size smaller jeans each month & November's NO WAY do up yet. Which wouldn't matter (over a fortnight to go & who cares anyway?) but my mum's coming to stay next week & she's the queen of the 'how's the diet going dear?' raised eyebrow routine! So I threw them across the bedroom & generally sulked a bit...

...& then decided (as people have said) to focus on what I HAVE lost (ie slightly slimmer now than pre-pregnancy). Cheered me up no end.

I actually find the jeans thing is working a bit tho'...(admittedly boring) jeans from Evans are only £15/20 & I feel I've achieved something when I zip up a new pair & chuck another 'baggy' pair into the charity shop bag. & I jolly well WILL be in those size 18s by 1st of November!

OK, not as much fun as a whole new skinny wardrobe, but if you're losing weight & want to mark off the stages w/out blowing the budget on 'interim' clothes I can definitely recommend it - not necessarily jeans, but anything cheap'n'cheerful that makes you think 'wahey, that's another 2" off all round!'

yorkiegirl, hope you are feeling better today. I think you underestimate how well your body is doing - think what it's been through in the last year. pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding AND lost nearly 2 stone! and I bet your dds think you are beautiful too.

yorkiegirl I don't know what slimming world etc say but to me weight loss is a bit like climbing everest, every so often people hit a plateau, or base camp and have to stay at the same level for a bit to acclimatise before carrying on up. I think divers do it going down too.

it's my third time feeling fat and frumpy after a baby, I know how horrid it is. you have to have lots of patience and keep remembering how well you are doing.
