If theres any of you that has health anxiety we know how awful it is. Ive had health anxiety for a number of years but have had it under control for a year until this virus started. Now my anxiety has rocketed abit. With everything that is going on in the world i know there are many anxious people because of this horrid virus and if you have health anxiety it can be even worse, As we focus on symptoms.
Ive had a cough and sore throat for a week now and my thoughts are spiralling out of control.
Is there anyone else struggling with health anxieties?

Sorry only just seen this! Yes this is me!! I suffered really bad health anxiety for about 5 years!! Then got therapy & I was doing great until this virus came along & feel like hit rock bottom again!!

I know how you are feeling. I've suffered from HA on and off for 9 years. All the self help techniques I learnt have gone completely out the window. I've gone from convincing myself that not every niggle is going to kill me to now being so over cautious about everything! My daughter has had a chesty cough the past 3 days, it's like I'm sat waiting for my symptoms to start! We've not been out because I just don't want to be round people, and I'm dreading everything going back to normal! It's horrible isn't it.
Just remember, the more you focus on a symptom the more it becomes real... as hard as it is we need to try and chill out, stress will just being more problems in the long run... sending soothing hugs
