I have bipolar and schizophrenia and I did have a good amount of prn medication saved up however I'm shielding as have health conditions and as I have been anxious and paranoid and stuck in for 5 weeks already I have used all my prn medication.

I want my medication increased throughout this whole thing but I'm already on a lot of medication so frightened they say no, also supposed to see my psychiatrist at least once a month and my appointment was first changed to a phone call then cancelled completely for foreseeable future.

Meaning if I ask for increased medication to help with my increased anxiety and paranoia I'll have to speak to someone else and I just don't feel capable of doing that.

I take olanzapine 20mg a day, zopiclone 7.5mg a day, I take diazepam 1x 5mg and 1x 2mg a day, and 1x 0.5mg clonazepam, I take lamotrogene 100mg once a day and finally mirtazapine 15mg once a day. So super worried they won't increase my medication.

Do you have an email address for them, or could you write to them?

Phone the secretaries or email, your doctor should be able to consider your request.

I could phone and speak to receptionist what I actually want is to swap my lamotrogene for either lithium or seroquel as I just don't feel it works I never liked it tbh but was told give it a try as I'm on other strong meds my psychiatrist wanted me on a milder mood stabilizer but I'm just not getting on with it I've been on it over a year now and still not happy.

I used to take depakote which worked but 3/4 of my hair fell out so I came of it and went on lamotrogene instead which is not as effective.

You could always ring the receptionist and ask if the psychiatrist could ring you? I'm having a phone appointment with my new one next week.

Give them a call, speak to the receptionist and explain your appointments have been cancelled outright and you're struggling more than usual.

I understand. I made myself super sick last summer because I got paranoid about brexit and halved my meds so I could stock up on them in case of a problem.

Caused myself a problem in the process.

If they're anything like my psych team, then they'll listen and try to get you a call with your doctor. Fingers crossed for you

Thank you my mum who is my carer realized I was struggling so came over to check on me ( I know about isolating but as care is allowed to be given to vulnerable she said it was fine) she has decided we are calling psychiatrists receptionist in the morning. She says she wants my paranoia addressed quickly.
