Recommendations for a top mental health hospital

Partner of a relative is in and out of hospital for a serious mental health condition and suicidal thoughts.

They have been sectioned numerous times and are going through a divorce.

I don’t know much more but they are on medication and are not coping - the lock down does not help as they don’t have much to do sitting at home all day.

They are suicidal again and wanting to go back into hospital.

I want to know if anyone has a recommendation of a good hospital and doctor in London? Just feel like this could make a difference.

You don't get to choose which hospital you go to, unless you are paying privately - and in that case it depends on the diagnosis as to who would be the best doctor.

Are you talking NHS or private? Private there's a very nice one in Harrow. It's a Cygnet Hospital but I can't remember much else about it.

NHS - you get sent wherever there's a bed which could be the other end of the country (which is how I ended up in the one in Harrow). If you're lucky you'll get one close to home but you certainly don't get to pick and choose.
