Will this dose of Sertraline do anything for me?

About 9 months ago I started on sertraline, gradually increasing up to 100mg. I've been taking it for physical symptoms of anxiety. Since Christmas I've reduced the dose right down to 25mg, because although I felt only slightly more relaxed the side effects for me aren't worth it. I'm now wondering if it's pointless staying on 25mg for the time being. Anyone on this dose?

Hi there when I was 50mg a psychiatrist nurse they told me it was just like having a smartie and it's started on that small dose just to see how you tolerate it xx

I've been on 25mgs since October and it's working well for me. I feel much better and in control of my emotions. When I asked the doctor about the dose he told me there's no specific dose it's what works for each individual person.

I'd come off it altogether and try something else if I were you. Its too low a dose to have any significant effect on your mood and you can't tolerate higher dosages. Are you able to take Beta Blockers like propranolol?

I'm on 25mg-it really works for me at this dose. Dr. says it can work at this dose just depends on the person.

If you don't think its working though then I guess there's no point taking it.

I'm on 50mg (have been for a year now), and it's not like a smartie for me!

Everyone is different so it depends on if you think it's working for you.

I don't really get any side effects (once over the first fortnight / month or so of vivid dreams, cotton mouth, etc).

25mg is the start dose for generalised anxiety rather than depression. It may well be doing something but only you can judge that.
