I might be homeless soon and struggling to cope

My relationship is breaking down and I might be homeless soon. I live with my partner and my name is not on the lease. I have no friends or family nearby and no money as I am a student and only have my student loan which doesn't allow me to save really as I pay half of rent and bills and the rest goes on living expenses.

I have borderline personality disorder, major depression, severe anxiety and possibly ASD.

I currently see a psychologist and a psychiatrist.

I'm in Scotland. I don't know what to do, so any advice would be appreciated.

Let your doctors know about your housing problem.

Do you have a care co cordinator?

MiniMum97 · 20/01/2020 20:54

Contact Shelter Scotland for advice but given your mental health conditions it is likely that your local authority will be obliged to house you if you were made homeless.

No care coordinator. I phoned the crisis team and they were less than interested. I will get in touch with shelter. I just feel like they will reject me but its probably my mental illness telling me that.

Shelter have a chat line on there website
So you could probably ask online if it too far to travel first.

Can you are ask your Uni for help with Housing?

..Look for house sits on line.

Au pair jobs might allow you to study still and you could live in.

Talk to your uni and look for a job. I hope you manage to find something.
