I've been to my gp today, as my depression is back with a vengeance. He prescribed capsules 20mg. I've called the surgery to request tablets instead, as I want to be able to take half a one first for a few days to minimise side effects. I suffer with health anxiety and Emetophobia and I know I'll go to pieces if I feel nauseous etc. He said tablets aren't available and liquid is too expensive.

I've looked online and tablets of 20 mg are listed, but maybe it's a local thing.

To be honest it was the shortest, coldest consultation I've ever had. I was in there for about two minutes. I don't have the confidence to stand up for myself.

I've been feeling suicidal and now just feel worse and don't see any point in even trying these. I can't face going back to see a different doctor. Just leaving the house is a massive issue at the moment. Also I'd be waiting at least two weeks to see another doctor. I felt a bit more positive once I'd made this appointment, but it all feels a waste of time.

Does anyone take tablets rather than capsules? Also is there a lower dose to start on?

@JustMyName I’m finally sleeping better after two bad weeks. My mood is also better, but still pretty much the same amount of anxiety. I went to see the doctor on Tuesday and she said that it can take 8 weeks for the meds to properly work, so I’m going to persevere. Did you sleep better last night? x

I did sleep better last night thanks. I'm taking it every second day at the moment. I'm glad you're feeling a bit better.
