I've had a shit few weeks literally illness after illness. DD got minor illness then I got cold the chest infection coughin up green phlegm and even though I'm asthmatic Doctor will not give me antibiotics. I'm exhausted. I have aches in my neck n chest from all the coughing. I have been arguing non stop with my partner who is so selfish and so unsupportive.
N now I have found a tiny lump side of breast that doesn't move. Convinced now I have cancer n I'm aware that's the health anxiety talkin but I just can't cope anymore with it all

You're right it could well be a tumour, though not necessarily malignant. Have you seen your GP to discuss the lump? I don't think you sound as though your health anxiety. You have very real symptoms which are making you anxious. That isn't the same as having health anxiety

I do have health anxiety though I was diagnosed previously so even though symptoms r very real. It's very heightened right now

If you have found a lump in your breast, you should see your GP irrespective of health anxiety. Have you accessed any support (usually CBT) to try and manage your condition?

Hi there,
I'm so sorry you're going through this.

I've suffered from health anxiety for years, and it's bloody awful. This time last year I found a lump in my boob, I worried about it for months without going to the GP as I was convinced I was going to die. I finally went to the GP in march who sent me for an urgent great clinic examination, it was such a scary time, but the lump was nothing to worry about. After this I felt good for a few months, then the anxieties started creeping back in.

On Monday I had a pain start in my groin, on inspection I found a swollen gland on the right side, so I'm now convinced I have lymphoma, the pain and the swelling. It sounds crazy to write it as I'm guessing it's my health anxiety, but I'm constantly checking the lump and googling symptoms.
I hope you get some resolve as this is a bloody horrid condition to live with
Sending love X x
