I'm really really struggling today. Anxiety through the roof. I need to go to the GP to order my prescription but i just can't do it :(

That sounds so hard. I'm sorry you're feeling that way. Can you call or email the practice to request prescription? Mine do that for me. Then have you got friend or family who could pick it up for you?

Sunflowers2811 · 09/10/2019 15:48

I don't think they let you do it over the phone. I've tried looking on the website but there's only stuff about online ordering which you have to register for by going into the practice first. I know this sounds ridiculous but I can't even face making a phone call. I couldn't answer the door earlier when the postman knocked on. I've got someone I could ask to pick it up for me if I could work out a way of ordering it.

Is it a repeat prescription? I suffer with anxiety and use Pharmacy2U I order online pay for it and they request it from my GP and deliver it too. There are other companies and online pharmacies that offer this service too. I totally understand that even picking up the phone and talking to someone is just as hard as being face to face.

Sunflowers2811 · 09/10/2019 16:13

Thank you for your replies it's really kind. I've just registered on the pharmacy's 2 u website but none of my medications are recorded there so I can't order anything? I've decided to force myself out of the house. It will be a big struggle but I'm going to really try and do it. Otherwise I will run out of my medication.

Just concentrate on how you will feel when you get back.
Are you washed and ready for out?

Sunflowers2811 · 09/10/2019 16:31

Thank you @NotTonightJosepheen

Earlier I managed to have a shower and wash my hair but I've not managed to dry it so I'm going out with wet hair but at least I've had a wash.

Well done. It's a huge effort you are making. One small step at a time.

Sunflowers2811 · 09/10/2019 17:32

Thank you so much everyone. Honestly you've really helped me and I'm very grateful. I managed to go to order my prescription, get blood test results and go to the shop to get a few bits. Might be small to some but it feels big for me!

Anytime Smile you aren't alone, others understand.
Well done.

Bobismyfriend · 09/10/2019 17:39

Glad to help and well done for doing all that. Have you told anyone irl how you are feeling today? Even if it's just a text to someone you trust saying hi and that you're having a hard day?
