Can someone please help me to get help for my very depressed Mum ?

The doctors just fob us off and she is so bad at the moment . She has had MH problems on and off for years and it's sooo draining .
We need stronger / better meds .. has anyone actually got better ??

You can self refer to mental health services in most areas now. Bypass the GP and try and get your mum to refer herself.

Try a different GP and attend the appointment with her to advocate if she is struggling.

They should be reviewing any medication she's already on and looking to change/increase it if she's struggling. No excuse for fobbing her off.

What did the GP say to her?

I've been to the GP with her and they have already been useless .. I think she needs to go somewhere and get completely better . It's been going on years and years now. She drinks to self medicate the misery and whilst I understand why she does this it obviously makes things worse .. she is on a constant up and down roller coaster .
I sent off some emails to some places and we either pay £10k a week or get referred to a psych ward and then referred on.. she has always been too insightful ( in the doctors eyes ) to go that far ..
It's such a mess 😩
