I went to the gp with chest pains which i have suffered on a few occasions in the past. He sent me to the hospital as a precautionary measure. I had a chest x ray, ecg and a battery of blood tests. I have a very fast heart rate and my gp needs to give me some propranolol for it. My lungs are completely clear, my blood tests showed everything is normal, no infection in my body at all, kidneys, liver etc all working well. My ecg was a bit off due to the fast heart rate but the consultant said this was to be expected but i am healthy (aside from my degenerative spine, sciatica and other pains associated with this,44 and knackered already lol). Despite all this my health anxiety is still there, like my brain will not accept what the consultant said. This is really getting me down. My mental health is quite poor but i soldier on, i go out a lot, go walking etc, i don't let anything stop me, i try my best but the anxiety is always there, it even stops me sleeping

I think I have some sort of health anxiety but towards my children. My youngest was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in December and now I am
A bag of nerves. I don’t care about me but every complaint from them and every tiny thing I notice has me worried. I just think of the worst case scenarios and get upset but trying to tell myself they will be ok. It’s hard tho and I’m not convincing myself!

I know how you feel. I suffer badly with health anxiety. I can be ok for a few months then another symptom makes me go into panic mode again. Here to talk if you need xx
