Which contraceptive is best when I have depression and anxiety?

I've posted this in family planning too but thought I might get more responses here.

I have only ever used microgynon 30 as my contraceptive. After my son was born I developed see depression and anxiety which I still suffer with now 3 years later. I am currently taking 20mg Fluoxetine a day to help with this. I am back on microgynon now after a year or so of no contraception (had 2 miscarriages and decided to stop trying for a while) but my depression got worse hence the Fluoxetine prescription. It could be coincidence or it could be a direct result of microgynon.

I would prefer to take a non hormonal contraception to try and avoid my mood being affected any more, but I've seen that the copper coil can cause depression too.

Anyone else in the same boat? What could be my best option?

No advice but also think the pill is causing me depression. I'm going to ask for the Nuvaring as lower hormones and I.dont want a coil due to previous bad experience of one moving causing pain then needing a scan to locate it for removal. Will follow this post, hopefully someone will have some advice or experience

I'm on the implant and haven't had any problems, I don't think. I did find being on Fluoxetine made my depression worse though.

So far I'm really happy with the Fluoxetine, I was on 40mg citalopram for 2 years and didn't feel as significantly better as I do on 20g Fluoxetine. But I can't help but worry that I'll think I'm better, come off the tablets and go downhill again. I suppose there's no way round that one.

I'm starting to consider temp charting and just going by my natural cycle and avoid sex or use condom just for ovulation week.
