I hate it! Why do I feel like this?

I have refractory depression and I keep forgetting to take my tablets atm too

I just want to be normal

Have you ever taken your medication regularly?

Baylis · 05/05/2019 18:41

Hi blushing, I don't have much advice but just wanted to say I get this too. I wake up early with a jolt and I am overcome with anxiety, it's awful. I generally only start feeling Ok after around 11am.

Hi OP I have found it helps to take medication at exactly the same time. I bought myself a pill box with an alarm from Amazon for under a fiver. Its so bloody loud, there is no chance of me forgetting!

Thank you so much for replying

I was taking duloxetine for depression but stopped after Christmas- I've never had feelings like this before I've felt depressed but never anxious like this, it's horrible, I feel sick and trembly

What sort of medications have you found helpful?

Blush
You can’t just stop AD’s, you will get withdrawal symptoms
And that’s exactly what you have described !! And more

You need to get the pill box from amazon with alarm, set for a time you know is good for you to take tablet and start taking them again regularly
Otherwise
You have to ride the symptoms out

Suddenly stopping medication can make you feel terrible.
Many people need medication for a long time.
If you take your medication exactly as directed, then the dose, change of medication or added medication, any interactions with other drugs, any side effects, etc., can be managed.
You need to find a reminder or routine that works for you. Flowers

When is your next doctor appointment?

Blushingm · 07/05/2019 18:58

I've kind of avoided going to dr, I just get my prescription sent straight to the pharmacy and then collect it

I really recommend going to the doctor.
Also this book “mindfulness: a practical guide to finding peace in a frantic world “ by prof Williams is very good and comes with a very good audio.
