Coming off Effexor / Venlafaxine because pg. - what do yout hink?

Wasn't expecting to be pg., doctor is frantic that I get off the effexor as soon as poss (only a nanosecond pg. at hte moment) do you have any experiences surrounding either the drug, or the drug with pg.?

Hi I was on venlafaxine when I tried to get pregnant and was warned off it as it is a new drug that hasn't been tested on pregnant women. I was however allowed to take an older style drug once I had reached the magic 12 weeks as I just couldn't manage without anything so there is something you can take.

Hi Sunshine, thanks for getting back to me, sorry I didn't see it sooner. I'm not pg. anymore, but all the info I have seen about trying to come off it is horrific, so am starting to come off it anyway, even if I have to change to something else.
If you see this, how did you wean yourself off it, and how did you find the experience?
