DP was on sertraline 50mg for around 18 months and tapered off, last pill about 3 months ago. He had dizziness, nausea, zaps, and all the rest, basically had a real hard time for a few weeks. It's now been around 3 months and he is still not feeling himself, he feels very anxious a lot and extremely stressed despite saying that he doesn't know why as he has nothing to be stressed about. He gets angry very quickly at minor things that previously wouldn't have bothered him, feels like he wants to be alone most of the time and that even small things he needs to do overwhelm him. He says that he doesn't feel like himself anymor, doesn't enjoy anything that he usually would, and often has crying spells, says everything feels pointless.

Has anyone come off this drug and can tell us if things will improve?
How long is this likely to last? Will it go away?

What sort of taper did he do?
Recent evidence suggests that a safe taper is far slower than gps are aware of. It sounds like he reduced his dose too quickly.
