Im 22 years old and I'm having extreme anxiety and panic attacks at the moment, for a few weeks, I take sertraline 100mg, for the past few days I've felt absolutely suicidal, I wish I didn't wake up this morning, I have a 3 year old and I'm finding it hard to bond with her at the moment, my ESA has just been stopped as I've been on it two years, and my dad tried to kill himself last month, I had to witnesses this and call an ambulance, I have an appointment with the doctor today but I can't get out of my house because I'm so scared of having a panic attack, I feel like a useless piece of crap right now. Has anyone else been in my situation, how did you overcome it.

Hello OP, we are really sorry to hear you are feeling this way.

We hope you don't mind, but when these threads are flagged up to us we usually add a link to our Mental Health resources. You can also go to the Samaritans website or email them on [email protected]. Support from other Mumsnetters is great and we really hope you will be able to take some comfort from your fellow posters, but as other MNers will tell you, it's really a good idea to seek RL help and support as well.

We also like to remind everyone that, although we're awed daily by the astonishing support our members give each other through life's trickier twists and turns, we'd always caution anyone never to give more of themselves to another poster, emotionally or financially, than they can afford to spare.
