So today I finally found the words and was diagnosed with depression and given anti-depressants

I know these aren’t a miracle cure so I’m wondering what other little things people have done that they have helped?

The first thing I’m going to do is to try to start eating properly again, just twice a day for now and possibly to cut back on caffeine (although I don’t know if that’s a good idea as I’ll possibly become even more tired and irritable?)
I was also thinking of asking DP to give me an hour a week to be in the house without anyone else - but I’m not sure how that will work atm

What other things can we all do to help ourselves?

I was told to stop drinking caffeine at 3pm so that I can sleep properly at night. Personally found that has made no difference.

Exercise (gym) gives me a bit of a rush (endorphins maybe) plus it's nice to see others.

Catching up with my friends is always good.

Listening to happy music like trance.

Plus taking the meds properly.
