I've recently started taking sertraline. It's my sister's wedding in 4 weeks and I've been avoiding alcohol but would like half a glass of champagne with the speeches but am happy to go without. My gp said that a small amount of alcohol as long as I don't have it around the time I take the sertraline should be ok but I've also read it can cause drowsiness. I take my tablet first thing, speeches will be around 5.30pm. I won't be driving but will be looking after dd.
Would I be better off avoiding the half a glass of champagne? I know this doesn't seem like a big issue and it's not really I just wanted to know. Thank you in advance.
