It's my birthday on Saturday and we have no plans - i'm bummed

no room in any hotels since we didn't book anything in advance, no babysitter available, i will just end up lugging the kids around to get them tired and then going to bed after my husband cooks a pasta trying to be nice while i really dont love pasta

Try laterooms and get away for the weekend-with the kids..

Get the best takeaway that you DO love delivered, get a great film and a box of choccies and a bottle of champagne and tell DH he's your sex slave for the night too...

thanks all of your suggestions are great. maybe i'm just overreacting since i was really hoping to do something fun for a change.
i guess wine and take away will do, and next year i'll plan it myself.
