I had a bad experience during the last week which was nothing too serious in itself, but has brought back a very traumatic experience that happened to me as a teenager. I haven’t been able to function properly for the past few days. I think the symptoms I have are anxiety, but no way of telling.
It feels like my heart is being gripped and is pounding, even when I’m doing nothing but lie in bed. Which is pretty much all I’ve been able to do for the past few days. Everything in the wider world seems too fast and loud.
I’m not sure how to get this better, will it pass, or how to go about getting help.
