Hi. I have posted a few times on here. I have a 9 month old and have been battling with feeling down and really bad anxiety since she was born. Finally told the HV today and did a questionaire and she said I have PND. She was very helpful and told me to go and see the doc tomorrow. So finally I hope I have come to the end of how im feeling and the doc will give me some tablets. The only way is up!!

yummymummy - how are u today??u have taken an incredibly brave step in going to GP - so pat on the back

it takes time to get depressed - it is a slow insidious undermining disease - so remember if it takes time to become depressed it also takes time to get over it so one hour, one day at a time baby

give yourself permission to recover and take it easy

i have a voucher from a magazine for a free haircut u gotta look on web for nearest salon, but hey its free if u want it let me know and i will pop in snail mail

im too scared to change hairdresser so wont use it

give yourself a wee treat

Hi. Thanks scottishmummy! Actually I had my hair cut last thursday! That's very kind though, thank you.

Feeling ok today but keep wondering it's my fault and if OH is ok with me.

yummymummy06 - thought u loked nice

many of the thoughts/anxieties you are experiencing are the same as all of us do...

am i good enough??
why am i so crap and every other mum copes/looks/dresses/manages so well??
is it meant to be this hard??

i think those thought near daily!!!!

you are experiencing an illness that affects your cognition and how you interpret events...that will pass

it is the disease that is impaired not you - you are a funny, beautiful, intelligent woman experirncing an illness...be angry at the label not yourself

you are not the label - you are not a depressive or somehow defective - you are a intelligent woman experiencing an illness. put it this way noone is asmatha, they are merely a person who experiences those symptoms iyswim

hey lets not dwell on labes

God, I have put my family through so much. I really feel sorry for my OH. Is it true that women talk about things and men bottle it up as I have been doing alot of talking to my friends. Not sure if I am feeling any different on the tablets yet.
