I though I was good at hiding my PND BUT...

my MIL took my dp and the kids out last Saturday and told him she thought I had PND. 'Yes' he said 'She's been on AD for 4 months!' I really did think I was hiding this but obviously not. I know my Mum guessed it ages ago because she said I seemed really down (I thought I was doing good fake happy!). So I guess I won't be able to be an actress then. LOL. But now I'm wondering eho else knows.....anyone else found they weren't a good actress?

i was too good the downside of that is that you may be fooling yourself and denying yourself the help you need. i still have bad days now after two years but i am getting better so there will be light at what seems to be the end of the tunnel, then the tunnel twists and bends but i do believe that there will be a light waiting for me and all of us who have pnd (and that includes the fathers)

In the beginning there was no way I could hide it, my Doctor was the only one who couldn't see it, even when I asked him if he thought it was "normal" to cry for two hours after ds threw up over three body suits and baby grows whilst I was trying to dress him to go out, his answer was "get out more and meet people" and made me feel like I was wasting his time, I know my hv saw it and because we were moving away when ds was 9 weeks old she wrote a letter for my new hv. When we got to the new area I did manage to hide it really well, you know putting on that "public smile" my new friends never knew until I went down hill and dh took me to the Doctor, that was a few months ago, I'm on ad and feel a bit better and able to cope with ds (now nearly 6 months) but still have down days where I feel unable to cope and could cry for England.
