my health is doing my head in.
god getting so confused trying to type, want to say sooooooo much far to fast.
ive always been a ill person and recently was told to stop eating certian foods, it was ment to really help me in several areas of my health................... it seems to have made things sooooooo much worse.
cause im ill most days im a small eater, and have found out that the foods i love are the main 1's i have to stop eating.
now i have gone back to basic's and prepare foods myself and buy costly foods/ ingredients, but nothing is filling me up im constantly hungry.
but whats really getting me is im trying to b sooo verry good but i seem to slip up most days - but its not my fault - honest
take today........
breakfast - toast (with my secial bread & alt to butter)
Lunch - toasted sandwich with ham (again my secial bread & alt to butter)
dinner - steak, jacket potato, salad, special gravey, mushrooms.
evening snack - special muffin, special backwel tart, 2 little maoam sweets.

well 1/2 hr after the snacks was ill (pains in tummy, really bad 'no2', nearly passed out)
i have eaten all the above b4 but the 2 maoam sweets - but i read the ingredients and they r ment to b fine

so once again i have got no goodness from my dinner AGAIN
im v small as it is - and since starting this bloody thing ive lost more weight

i want to continue as im am having more good days then bad days which was the complete opposite b4 ( a good day once in a blue moon - honest)

Oh and when im ill from the food it sets off pain from the endometreosis, which then has a fight with my epilepsy

Sorry Lulumama what is IBD?

Oh i do eat fruit and lots of veg, didnt think to say it. It does not seem to fill me up at all though. Just lately as im always hungry, i've been cooking enough veg to feed an army at dinner time

Inflammatory bowel disease

such as crohns disease or ulcerative colitis

sounds like you have enough to deal with

have you ongoing pain ? Living with a chronic health condition is depressing and when it is painful, even worse

have you tried any alternative treatments in conjunciton with traditional medicine, such as reiki?

talcy0 · 02/06/2007 21:23

i think, and i hope that lulumama will correct me if wrong...but i think it's irritable bowel disorder/disease?

H ave family experience of epilepsy and endometriosis.

You poor thing...sounds like you need a full MOT!

gimmiegimmie · 02/06/2007 21:23

lulumama · 02/06/2007 21:24

hey talcy!

gimmie - have you been referred to any sort of specialised nurse for help with all this or any local support groups?

talcy0 · 02/06/2007 21:25

Pleased you are feeling a bit better x

gimmiegimmie · 02/06/2007 21:35

Lulumama i know this is going to sound stupid but i have had all of that the whole of my life so i just got on with it, but since having DD its not just me now, i have to think about DD.
Now im having more good days than bad im realising how ill i am / was. I know it sounds stupid.

No not been refered, a friend said i should have seen someone about the diet side of things.

My epilepsy nurse has recently sent me for another EEG and told me to go back to the drs

lulumama · 02/06/2007 21:41

it is not stupid

you need help and support, and you need to feel and be as well as you can be for your child...

and for yourself too!

Malaleche · 02/06/2007 21:46

have you seen a nutritionist? I didnt have half the health problems you have but i was put on a diet to get rid of candida in the gut and it did make a huge difference to my health. I've slid back into bad habits but at least i know, in theory, what is good for me and what isnt. hth

gimmiegimmie · 02/06/2007 22:02

Going to book to see the dr nxt week , mums going to come with me as she has concerns re all of this also. I will def b asking to see a nutritionist.
