I’ve been referred through local IAPT for high intensity therapy. Has anyone else been down this route at all?
TIA

Currently awaiting news after a referal some weeks ago. My experience hasn’t been great. Had an initial over the phone consultation in April only to be called back in June as the person had lost my notes? WTF!! I’d also be interested to hear how others have got on with high intensity therapy x

Is it step 3 intervention you’re waiting for @Alittlelost1

No just told it was high intensity. Perhaps different things? X

I’m on step 3/4

I’m seeing a psychologist, I’ve waited 10mths for it.
It was my first one last week, so can’t really comment on

But after the wait, it better be bloody good therapy
As I’ve been turned down by secondary mh care, don’t fit the criteria lol

What is a step 3 intervention? I've been assessed, need treatment and am on a waiting list somewhere..10 months and counting now..feeling slightly abandoned.

It’s so hard in the meantime I continue to self harm and neglect

The thing with iapt is its first point entry to mh but not urgent/crisis

NHS mental health care is terrible.

it's just stuff portioned out to their favourites and chums.
