Anxiety and worrying - what to request from doctor

I'm really struggling with anxiety and obsessive worrying/catastrophizing lately. I have been seeing a physiological wellbeing practitioner but it's not helping much, so am considering asking for something from the GP to take for anxiety/worry. Has anyone else been prescribed anything that didn't have too many side effects and actually helped with their worrying/anxiety? Thanks

Yes. Propranolol saved me.

Can't recommend it enough and didn't have any side effects at all. Good luck, it really helped me.

Yes, the gp will be able to help you.

Your Dr will prescribe what he/she thinks best. Although when I went years ago with the same symptoms, Propranolol was what I got. Worked at treat.

Propranolol only takes away the physical effects of anxiety. I am taking Sertraline at the moment, it’s really helped. I’ve actually just started back on propranolol as well due to heart palpitations. I don’t really like it as it makes me so tired!
