Can we have a positivity thread? I'm going through literal hell and I just feel like I need a place where there's no negativity at all, like a reprieve.

I'd like to kick it off by saying that today my boyfriends cat really helped me deal with my chronic pain and I also found some videos of women who had had surgery as a last resort for IC (which I've been diagnosed with) and they had great success and said their lives were significantly improved. ☺️ So even if things go as badly as they can go, everything will still be alright in the end.

I've been enjoying the spring sunshine in the back garden today...trying to forget about housework. Halo

The weather was lovely today. I walked to the station and back again. Listened to my audio book while walking and it was really very enjoyable. Smile

This thread has been quiet. How is everyone doing. I've been enjoying relaxing in the heat recently, allthough trying to keep myself busy to stop myself worrying and spending too much time on social media, so I've done a tiny bit of cleaning and gardening but now I'm tiered and am now sat with my dog watching a lorry do some building work opposite. How's everyone's cats and rabbits doing?

She is lovely! Smile

I had a really nice weekend. We just hung about at home and in the garden enjoying the great weather. It was just what I needed. I also decided to hand my notice in on a bit of volunteer work I do. I was just starting to find it too stressful and it was causing me a lot of anxiety even though I do like the poeple and the project. I feel so much better for having done it. I'm really looking forward to having a bit more time to do things for myself to keep me well.

I had a really productive day, feel like a recent medicataion changed has really helped, as has the cooler weather and time to relax. I was getting a bit carried away daydreaming. Got lots to look forward to in my life just got to try and be more focused and organised at the moment, was thinking about buying a tortoise, changing caarer, travelling etc... nice to dream but I don't want to miss the present. I also have been listening to disney music and the local radio which plays a good mix, some songs I've not heard for years.

How's everyone doing?

My daughter is 6 and even though I try really hard to appear fine with her she always seems to know when I need a hug. She came this afternoon and didn't say anything, just put her arms around me and really gave me a squeeze. It was lovely.

That's really sweet. My mental health was worse when I was doing some temporary work in a nursery and when I was feeling particularly low it always cheered me up to walk into the nursery and have lots of kids greet me and want to hug me and have me read them stories. I don't know if they could tell as they were only toddlers and not my kids but it definitely cheered me up. Was nice seeing them greet their parents when they came to pick them up two (allthough some of them wanted to carry on playing instead of going home)

This is a lovely thread, I love seeing pictures of other people's pets! My little fur baby (no pictures since I'm on laptop) has been zzz-ing on my bed all day. She had a nice ear and chin scratch when I got in. She occasionally dribbles when she's really happy and it's so cute!

BiglyBadgers · 16/05/2018 19:26

My daughter is also 6. It is such a lovely age. She is great. Smile

I was at a conference over the weekend and am really proud of myself about how well I managed. Got a good mix of being sociable and going out, while still escaping for time on my own to look after my MH when I needed it. In the past I have tended to either spend all my time with people and then crash horribly, or hidden away on my own in terror, so this was a really positive achievement.

Today I have got an essay written and only have minor formatting to do before I can hand it in. Hurrah!

I'm ill today with a painful throat but feel quite happy due to the sunshine.

My cat has been next to me upside down since I got in from work early.

She's learning to play now which is funny!!

That's cute. We've just been given a baby hamster from a friend. Apparently it's too aggressive so we're leaving it in peace to settle in. We had a hamster before, and still have the bigger cage with lots of toys so I'm looking forward to seeing it explore its new pad. I was thinking we could attach them and it would have a 3 storey Palace with 2 wheels. Grin
