I think it was around June/July time last year that I first started taking A/Ds have been feeling really great unti la few weeks ago and now I feel like a bit rubbish again.

I'm so cross, nothing at all to be depressed about iykwim.

Also feel like a completely wanker for posting as I never add anything to other peoples 'feeling depressed' threads yet I receibed so much support when I was diagnosed and in the weeks leading up to me going to the DRs.

Arse.

Depression stinks, doesn't it.

Are you still on the ads?

Maybe the dose needs tweeking.

See the GP before it gets any worse.

Although my GP did say to me when I first started taking ads that it's a bit like a road with potholes in - sometimes, even when you're taking ads, you hit a pothole. You can still feel a bit low, and sometimes even as if the depression is coming back - but it's just a pothole, not the bottom of the black pit.

And stop feeling like a wanker, you can't take everyone else's depression on board as well as your own.

Would you be happy to go back onto the ads again, just for a short time? Just to stop it before it really takes hold again?

It took me a long while to accept that depression never really goes away, and that sometimes you need to go back to whatever treatment you've found has worked before.

Depression is no reflection of everything else that's going on - it's too easy to say that "I have nothing to be depressed for". It's a horrible illness.

did you have any counselling? have they given you any self help strategies (like regular exercise, good diet etc. etc.)?

sorry if I'm preaching to the converted because I'm by no means anti ADs and if you think you need them, go get them but just wondering if this might be a temporary blip rather than a falling down the hole.

PLease don't feel bad about posting on here I rarely post help on here as often other people say it better and also without being selfish I struggle to keep myself going at times and find that reading posts on here don't help.

It may be that your medication needs tweeking, if you have a good relationship with your gp go and see him//her
