Annoying "removed you from the service letter"

I have a history of MH (GAD, PND). Was on anti-D's but been off for one year. I stress a lot about work, feeling insecure etc. I decided to not let it come to a head but be proactive and sought a referral to the IAPT service.

I went to the first assessment and the advisor agreed that some therapy sessions would be good, group sessions every week for 6 weeks. I said fine, but I couldn't go in work time, it would have to be eve/weekend or my day off on a Monday. Advisor said "that's fine if they send you some times you can't do, just tell them and they will find a slot you can. They run the sessions regularly".

I get the letter, wanted me to go Thursday 11-1 for 6 weeks. Rung them, no answer, ended up leaving a voicemail. Replied to the letter, explaining I couldn't go at that time.

I now have a letter, cc'd to my GP saying I failed to attend and they assume I don't want to engage with the service and have closed my case.

Now I know full well the IAPT services are busy. Its not that I don't want to attend, I just can't take 6 1/2 days off work to go to these sessions. Why can't they understand? Why can't they offer me the online learning element as was mentioned at the meeting?

I am so peed off that this is the way they treat people. Shall I write a response and cc to my GP that this is not the case?
