What sort of therapist/mental health professional should I see?

I have early onset menopause (I am in my early 40s) that is doing terrible things to my mental health. I have been put on HRT for about 4 months now which I can't say is helping a whole lot. Perhaps the worst symptom is that I think about work in a negative way constantly and can't sleep. All day and night what I have done wrong at work, why I am a failure at work and what I have to do at work whirrs around in my head at great speed, pretty much no matter what else I am trying to do.

I should say that before 12 months ago everything was just fine and I have no real problems in my life (lovely DH and DC) except for hating my work so I do think it is the menopause which is the root cause of the problem.

As well as carrying on with the gynaecologist who is giving my HRT, I think it's time to see someone about my mental health. But I have literally no idea where to start. What sort of person should I be looking for? A therapist, psychiatrist, counsellor, something else?

I would love some help trying to navigate this.
