I go to work. I come home.

Then I go to work and come home.

Five days a week. Then weekends I sit.

No money to do anything, nothing I really want to do anyway. No one to do it with.

Sometimes I feel like even in jail I might have people to talk to.

💐 for you. How old are you and do you live alone or do you have a DP or any DC? Do you do any exercise or can you get out into the day light for a walk at lunch time? It can be hard going and often seems worse this time of the year when it’s cold and dark when you get in from work. Take care x

Isthisit33 · 20/02/2018 22:50

I am 37, no dp or kids.

In some ways the summer is worse as I feel I should be enjoying it.

So do something about it? Nobody is going to come to your house and say let’s go out. Find a hobby and do it with a group one evening a week. Make friends. Go to local groups or meets. Join likeminded people on Facebook. If you want friends and tomdo stuff then you have to start the ball rolling. It doesn’t need to cost a lot or even anything.

I think loads of people feel like youdo. You just have to do something about it

I think it sounds like you've got into a spiral of negativity and stuck in a rut OP. It's easily done when there seems to be nothing to look forward to.

What work do you currently do? Do you own or rent? Thinking about improving your life and making a plan is the way to go....we can help you do that.

With more info. Flowers

Isthisit33 · 20/02/2018 22:52

Like what, really.

Isthisit33 · 20/02/2018 22:52

What Info do you want? I rent.

BastardGoDarkly · 20/02/2018 22:52

Ah fuck.

No, it's not it, but you're going to have to brave if you want it to change.

Have you got any mates? Family?

Isthisit33 · 20/02/2018 22:53

No friends. Not really. They are all busy (I do understand this.)

This was me for years, then I met my DH (at 36) and now I've got a 13 month old and I long for the days of doing absolutely nothing in my spare time! It seems shit, but enjoy it while you can OP!

Isthisit33 · 20/02/2018 22:55

Seriously god, that’s so not going to happen. So I appreciate the ‘input’ but it doesn’t apply to me.

There is something called meetup.com which can put you in touch with lots of social stuff in your area.

SavageBeauty73 · 20/02/2018 22:57

Can you tell your friends how you feel?

I've seen meetup app suggested on other threads.

What interests you?

Isthisit33 · 20/02/2018 22:57

I know but it’s loads of faff to get there, there’s never the same people do you don’t meet anyone and money.

OP posts:
ignoringthechoc · 20/02/2018 22:57

Thinking of free stuff, you could register with borrow my dog if you like dogs, gets you out and depending where you live it can be quite a sociable thing?
Just an idea, hope things buck up for you soon, being skint is crap. Can you get more hours or job in a pub to get out in evenings/ weekends and a bit of cash?

BastardGoDarkly · 20/02/2018 22:57

OK, so how do you feel about getting out and meeting people generally?

Isthisit33 · 20/02/2018 22:58

I’ve only maybe got four friends and no, can’t really talk to them.

OP posts:
LittleBirdBlues · 20/02/2018 22:58

Is there anything at all during the day ts you enjoy doing? Even if it's just a very all part of your day? Could be anything, listening to the radio, walking to the station, cooking...
When you find that something you can start there, then try and gradually build more of it into your life. Either by doing more of it in the time you have alone, or joining a group or asking friends to join you.

Redcliff · 20/02/2018 22:58

Do you have any interests - like running, reading, singing?

Isthisit33 · 20/02/2018 22:59

No, not really, I’m rubbish.

OP posts:
BastardGoDarkly · 20/02/2018 22:59

Oh a bar job could work? I loved working in a pub!

LolaTheDarkdestroyer · 20/02/2018 22:59

Maybe it's your attitude?

Isthisit33 · 20/02/2018 23:00

Probably Lola

I don’t want to work in a bar, I’d be hopeless.

MiffedMummy · 20/02/2018 23:01

Do you think it's a possibility you may be depressed OP?

DeathStare · 20/02/2018 23:01

esk1mo · 20/02/2018 23:01
