I was told today I don't look autistic

I'm not sure how to take it. Do people think you make this up for attention. This was my sil by the way. I'm in the process of having my assessments done.

A few years ago, there was some research that suggested that children with autism (I'm not sure if this would apply to adults) tended to have subtle but measurable differences to NT children with regards to certain facial features. I don't know if this theory is still considered valid, but perhaps that's what your SIL was thinking of.
