Struggling today after another failed dating attempt and being ghoasted yet again.

I separated from exh 3 years ago, have had one short relationship (1 year since), he cheated on me and was abusve.

I have 2 dc’s, I have supportive family and I have 2 or 3 good friends, most of the time I enjoy being single but other ties I feel so lonely and sad that I have no one to cuddle up to in the evenings. I keep busy with work and hobbies, I visit friends and family so why do I feel so lonely and sometimes depressed?

I'm sorry you had to go through that with your last relationship. It's understandable that you would like to have that special someone to cuddle up to - I'm sure you will get that again. It's wonderful that you have a supportive family and friends and lovely kids. If you feel you are getting really down then it might be worth speaking to your doctor. Big internet hugs.

I have spoke to my go in the past, been on various medications for anxiety and depression but they make me gain weight which makes me feel worse, keeping fit and going to the gym is what keeps me sane. During the day I keep myself busy but hate the evenings alone, I now work some evenings instead of sitting alone. My dc’s are getting older and don’t want to spend much time with me or are out doing their own things. I have been doing on line dating for ages and have probably been on 100 dates but have not found anyone who wants to stick around. I’m usually a very happy outgoing person, I’m ok looking, size 10 and I don’t really have any baggage so I don’t understand what puts men off.
