I am on 10mg at the moment - only been 9 days tough. They have definetely taken an edge off the depression and anxiety, feel able to cope and manage to do my daily stuff. Even manage a daily jog! But the anxiety is still there, cannot sleep at night without a sleeping pill so I imagine that the gp in a few days will up my dose. Has this happened to you? What will the side effects be of doubling the dose? Haven't had any nasty side effects for the time being.....

me too on 10mg but also feel shaky and find it hard to sleep.( pounding heart beat) gp said it was a possible side effect of the citalopram and to try it for another month. if no improvement he would try another type of pill.
re doubling the dose- don't really know, but from what my gp said , it might just not be the right pill for you.

Give it a couple more weeks. It really takes a good month for it to get into your system.

I felt a huge difference after a month.

Have you looked at your diet?

I have a very good diet I think. Nobody on mumsnet seems to be on only 10mg, so i assumed they would up mine after 2 weeks. I hate feeling crap.
