PND - any words of encouragement or help?!

So after 12 weeks I have admitted I have PND. Bit of background baby was tongue tied, poor feeding, this didnt resolve after snipping it, couldnt breast feed, then baby has severe reflux so on meds and on top of this hes a good crier! So basically I have had thoughts of not wanting to be near him, his crying goes through me and just 'going through the motions' rather than liking my son. Ive also had severe anxiety in the mornings. I have a history of depression and anxiety and my GP has increased my fluoxetine from 20 - 30mg.

Sorry for the babble but a. Have you been in this place and did you get better? B. Has anyone increased meds successfully and did you have side effects?

Any advice, encouragement etc is most welcome xx

SIB, I have no advice but I could have written your post. My DS is 11 weeks today. Everything you say sounds so familiar. I've a history of anxiety and have been on Sertraline for years so am not sure if this is just an anxiety episode or PND. The feeling nauseous and like my chest is on fire is the worst.

Sending you love Flowers

Thanks AgentCooper, I wish you luck and love too and hope its just a blip your going through. Do speak to your HV though mine has been amazing and made me realise the earlier its treated the sooner things can get better xx
