Hi I've recently been prescribed sertraline for pnd (according to my doctor) but I've been like this for as long as I can remember and I think it's more anxiety. My mind is always busy with racing thoughts and worries, I struggle to sleep, I have to force myself to get out the house and even when I do I get so stressed about getting myself and kids ready it puts me in a terrible mood all day. I'm always over thinking and worrying about everything especially health and money. I'm very impulsive and easily irritable or angered. I thought this was just me but as I'm getting older I realise it's not and I want to start enjoying my life more instead of just existing. Will the sertraline help me? Or has it helped you?

Hi, I haven't taken sertraline, I take citalopram but I hope my experience will help. For me, it took a while ( a few weeks), I dipped significantly in that time, but then they did help. I sleep better on them, I still have dark thoughts but they feel more manageable, I felt more stable. I am in a space now where I am wondering if I can go back to coping without them so I am slowly coming off them. I will see how it goes. Good luck, and I hope it helps you too.

Hi woolly thanks for the reply. I know it's not a quick fix and it's not going to solve everything but I'm actually excited to see if it helps me. The side effects haven't been too bad so far on day 8. It's great they've helped you a little and you feel you can cope without. I hope that's me soon too Grin
