My mum didn't wish me happy birthday

She's been sectioned in the past and not taking meds but she's behaved horridly in the past to myself and siblings on our birthdays.

Finding it hard to be sympathetic this year.

Can anyone help me put this in perspective?

coping with a relative who has mental illness is so hard. I can't really help you put it in perspective.
