Moved ares 4 months ago. Had an excellent CPN but new place nothing. Local CMHT said psychological services best suited but they have just said no, too high risk. Feel so let down and alone Sad
Not even allowed to speak to my old CPN as he doesn't have funding to spend time on people out of area. Thought it was a National health service ffs Hmm

IMHO, there's no such thing as a NHS where mental health is concerned. Unless your condition can be managed by SSRIs alone, my own experience is that they don't want to know.
Dispiriting I know, but that's what I found during my time in the system.

There seems to be huge variations in the quality of MH services in different areas. The fact that your mental health needs warented a CPN in your previous area would suggest it is reasonable to expect to be alocated one in your new area, however I wonder if their referal criteria are different. The fact that psychological services don't feel that they can meet your needs also suggests that you need more support, not less. I would speak to PALS about your concerns, they can be very good advocates to help dealing with services. I would also discuss with your GP and ask them if they can influence things.
