My DD has been noted by GP's as having anxiety and stress for at least a yr. Recently she has lost a lot of weight (at least half a stone) and the drs have done blood tests to find out why and results were all normal.

They are writing to the school, pediatrcians and dieticians for advice/help.

Shes been having some trouble with friendship groups at school, one bully has been making things hard for her and her friends, this isnt an isolated thing and specifically targeted at my DD. However the bully has been off for 2 days and came back today.

DD has been sent home ill today, i asked if anything had happened - she said no, i asked if she felt ill as the bully was back - she said no

DP suggests that maybe she is so anxcious that something might happen its caused her to feel poorly. (tight tummy pain)

Anyone been where i am now? how do i help her?

It's really positive that you are able talk together and that you listen to your daughter and validate her feelings. I have a little personal experience in this area. I would ask the GP to refer her to a young person's counsellor, I don't know what the provision is like in your area, I have a Children and Families Team locally. Anxiety and eating disorders are very pervasive and the earlier the intervention is the better. Best of luck to you and your daughter x
