The nausea has gone away a bit yesterday and this morning, but I am still really struggling with the weird dry mouth feeling and odd yawning all the time.

Will this settle down soon or will I feel like this the whole time I am on it?

Morning! I've been on them since May and I still have a dry mouth feeling. Is it actually yawning or more of a jaw locking/stiffness?
How are you feeling otherwise?

BotBotticelli · 09/12/2016 11:04

I have a dry mouth, am gurning a bit like I have taken E (I recall from the distant past when I tried it in a club 20 years ago!), and keep doing big theatrical yawns for no reason. Especially when talking to people at work which doesn't look good.

Other than that I am feeling ok. Felt really jittery and spaced out on the first day but that's much better now.

Gurning Grin The yawning/jaw thing and dry mouth may continue. As I mentioned I still have those side effects 7 months on.Don't be surprised if you start teeth grinding in your sleep I think that's been the worse side effect for meSad

Mine calmed down after a few days - I was on 40mg. It very much felt like I had taken an E (only tried it once, 15 years ago) when I first started. The spaced out feeling didn't totally go away, but I needed it to get me through the worst so on balance it was worth living with
I dropped down to 30mg now and hoping to drop again soon.

I started on 20mg and it took about a week to settle down then at 3 weeks I felt much better. Went up to 40mg and now 10months later down to ten. Good Luck!

Just an update in case anyone else reading this is in the same boat: am now on day 7 and feeling much better. The weird dry mouth/gurning/yawning stuff has almost stopped (only notice it once or twice a day) and no other side effects to report.

Also am finding that I am not losing my shit with the kids so readily and feel like I have a bit more space in my head to stop, think and respond calmly when they are really pushing my buttons instead of yelling/crying like before.

Bot your 2nd comment sounds that you're starting to experience the benefits,I could have written that word for word.
Glad to hear that the side effects have eased too.Smile

It will settle! I was on it for 8 years (now switched to different a/d as I'm pregnant), trust me the weird side effects like yawning and feeling spaced out etc will go
You need to give it time. It's a fantastic drug that really works in my experience. I can even say it saved my life a few times. Good luck
